Oracle Senior Quality Assurance Analyst-ProdDev in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Fusion Product Management Cloud. The position involves designing and implementing tests, debugging and providing information to the developers regarding the issues. Develops standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods. Analyzes test results, maintains documentation and recommends corrective actions while working within an agile development environment.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. BS or MS degree in computer science or related fields relevant to functional area. 3 - 4 or more years of software QA engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute automated tests in Selenium and OATS for acceptance, integration, system and regression testing across multiple environments for production and maintenance releases.

  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

  • Work on multiple projects/initiatives in fast paced environment.

  • Monitor automated suites run and triage results using ALM and Oracle native tools such as FarmJango, DRJango, StarterJango, APEX.

  • Manage testing progress and ensure that aggressive deadlines are met.

  • Document test results, report software bugs and verify fixes to ensure the acceptance criteria is met.

  • Work closely with the development and program management teams to ensure the product meets user and quality requirements and is released within schedule.

  • Analyze features, functionalities, and determine the best approach and techniques to improve test case designs.

  • Continuously improve test coverage and test efficiency.

  • Proactively raise issues and problems to the attention of the team and suggest solutions.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IS, or related fields

  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools like HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Jira

  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodology.

  • Experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents.

  • Experience with UNIX and Oracle SQL

  • Experience with Web Service Testing using SOAP UI, REST Service.

  • Development experience with automation tools like Selenium and Oracle Application Testing Suite OATS a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous project/initiatives

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, detailed oriented, resourceful, initiative and creative.

  • Proven ability to quickly grasp new technologies and software applications.

  • Exposure to any of SCM functional areas specifically Product Management Cloud domain knowledge would be added advantage
