Job Description

The role is responsible for developing and executing medical strategies/tactics to maximize patients’ access to our innovative therapies. The role holds a critical responsibility to provide the team with latest scientific & technical knowledge for in-line and pipeline products as well as relevant treatments through internal training. The role is expected to work closely with KOLs to identify clinical data gap which should potentially lead to data generation for future publications, regulatory registrations, etc, hold frequent interactions with HCPs to provide scientific/technical stories based on evidence, appropriate use of our therapies. The role is heavily involved in pre-launch planning & activities, in order to maximize the potential of future product/new indication from a medical perspective, e.g. fast penetration to the market with well-managed safety environment.The role is expected to provide scientific/technical inputs to our customer to maximizing the value of new product and indication working closely with R&D.

Essential Functions

  • Execute medical plan for in-line and pipeline products

  • Engage in relevant academic congresses & societies and organize medical events where/when effective based on Medical Plan to be developed/updated each year

  • Work closely with KOLs to identify data gaps (Open Clinical Questions/Open Data Questions), and propose the idea to close those data gaps with maximizing patients’ access to MNK innovative therapies

  • Enhance KOL engagement & identify new generation KOLs for in-line and pipeline products under the KOL development plans & strategies

  • Interface with KOLs for their interest in supporting them to carry out IITs in a scientifically viable, meaningful ways

  • Support commercial functions (Marketing & Sales) via medical and /technical training on a periodic basis

  • Review promotional materials and give feedback to commercial functions from medical perspectives

  • Work closely with Global medical functions to obtain the latest and advanced medical information and share the local and global best practices each other

  • Transform Medical Affairs function to be compliant with local regulations as well as industry standard

Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

【Minimum Requirements】

  • Holds BA/BS, higher degree is a plus

  • Grant preferential treatment to qualification for pharmacists, nurses.

  • Working experience as MR, MSL, or Marketing at least 5 years in pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Over 3 years experiences as MA, MSL or Clinical Development is highly preferred.

  • Good science background in Cardiology, ( especially surgery), Hematology and Hepatology knowledge is preferred

  • Experience of clinical research management understanding such as Clinical Trials Act is desirable.

  • Experience of clinical trials management and understanding of GCP is desirable.

  • Quick starter, quick learner and self-starter mindset are preferred

  • English capability especially in reading & writing. Verbal communication skill is a big plus

  • Ability to read English articles and explain the contents (include presentation skills)

  • Ability of working cross-functionally, strong interpersonal & communication skills

  • Ability of strategic and Scientific thinking

  • Comply with internal and industry compliance

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

  • Reports directly to Medical Affairs Manager

Working Conditions:

  • 40% office & 60% field base

  • Domestic travels + working holidays where needed (substitute holiday available)
