Liberty Latin America Senior Manager, BSS Delivery in Panama

What´s the Role?

The Senior Manager of BSS Delivery will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our billing and charging systems across Liberty Latin America. You will lead the establishment of a center of excellence for billing and charging, driving innovation, best practices, and thought leadership across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of telecommunications billing systems and a proven track record of driving transformational change.

How you will add value?

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a global strategy for billing and online charging systems to support business objectives, optimize revenue streams, and enhance customer experience.

  2. Center of Excellence: Establish a center of excellence for billing and charging systems, driving innovation, best practices, and thought leadership across the organization.

  3. Technology Roadmap: Define and maintain a technology roadmap for billing and charging systems, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

  4. Multi-Country Transformation Projects: Lead the implementation of multi-country transformation projects related to billing and charging systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  5. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with billing system vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies, products, and services that align with the strategic direction of the organization.

  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Customer Service, and Product Development to align billing and charging strategies with business objectives and priorities.

  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to billing and charging systems, working closely with legal and regulatory teams to mitigate risks.

  8. Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues or gaps.

  9. Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in billing and charging systems. Drive thought leadership initiatives to enhance our competitive position in the market.

  10. Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of billing and charging professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

  11. Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for billing and charging strategy initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.

What do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecommunications billing and charging systems, with a focus on strategy and transformational change.

  • In-depth knowledge of billing systems, including product catalog, rating, invoicing, and revenue assurance processes.

  • Strong understanding of online charging systems, real-time charging, and prepaid/postpaid billing models.

  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and transformational change in billing and charging systems.

  • Experience with major telecommunications BSS vendor systems (e.g., Amdocs, Oracle, Ericsson).

  • Experience with Fixed and Mobile network technologies (HFC, FTTx, 3GPP, etc.)

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex billing issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans for billing and charging systems.

  • Experience working in a global environment with exposure to international markets and regulatory requirements is preferred.
