We are now looking for a Human Resources Services Specialist to be based in our office in Helsinki.

The role

In the role as Human Resources Services Specialist you are working as a generalist but may have specialist knowledge in a particular Human Resources functional area. You will manage the day-to-day operations within the area and be responsible for implementing policies and ensuring compliance. Activities are managed rather than supervised; immediate manager providing guidance.

Typical accountabilities and responsibilities

You provide HR services to Finland and Baltics including:

  • Employee and manager queries on policies and procedures

  • Contract / employment documentation management

  • Workday and other HR system updates

  • Payroll & FCF management

  • HR Reporting

  • Policy review, alignment and simplification

You will also:

  • Manage own tasks and operates independently to interpret, diagnose and resolve identified problems, escalating only complex issues for resolution

  • Monitor performance, identifying and resolving any issues regarding HR services delivery, working with internal and external parties

  • Regularly review HR policies and processes, identifying areas for enhancement and making recommendations for change

  • Tracks changes in applicable labour laws and works with internal and external parties to deliver appropriate solutions

  • Acts as an HR specialist for area of responsibility, providing specialist advice or heading-up project delivery in this area

  • Play an active role in the NOBA HR team and may own delivery for one or more NOBA HR activities and programs

  • Meet AstraZeneca expectations pertaining to Code of Ethics, AstraZeneca Values, Compliance and other policies and procedures

As part of the role you act as Country HR lead for Finland:

  • Provide local Employment Relations expertise, working with the local co-operation forum and ensuring relevant Information and Consultation legislation is observed

  • Work with line manager and NOBA HRBP in complex cases where local HR presence is required e.g. business change

  • Partner with the Country Lead on local engagement activities, culture and leadership role modelling to ensure we continue to grow Finland as a Great Place to Work

  • Co-ordinate local She Health Environment (SHE) activities working with Country Lead and local SHE committee

Minimum experience / requirements

  • Educated to a degree level

  • Has extensive HR generalist experience

  • Strong judgement and influencing skills

  • Independent and collaborative worker

  • In-depth experience in HR systems (Workday, SAP)

  • Collaborative

  • Agile learner

  • Ability to work in constantly changing environment

  • Detail oriented

Desirable

  • Experience in a multi-national company

  • Experience of HR delivery across more than one country

  • Experience of collaborating virtually – virtual teams, virtual manager / employee support
