IT Infrastructure Specialist

What you would do as our IT Infrastructure Specialist

The IT infrastructure specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's IT infrastructure. The primary role involves ensuring that our organization's IT systems, networks, servers, and other technological infrastructure are operating efficiently and securely.

The role involves development of IT solutions usage, running and managing smaller local projects related to IT infrastructure, and being part of regular meetings with IT colleagues in the EU. Additionally, it includes documentation of procedures, solutions, and local infrastructure, as well as taking initiatives and implementing optimizations of business processes.

As a team member, responsibilities include being part of the IT Operations Team, serving as backup for AAES Service Desk in other regions, and cooperating with Application Operation and Information Solutions Teams.

The role also entails providing first/second line level support by resolving support tickets in the Service Desk system.

You will be part of the Regional IT Operations Team and 1st/2nd line support. You will also be reporting to the Manager IT-Operations Nordic and Middleast. You will be expected to travel to the office in Torslanda twice a month and approximately 1-2 times per year to other sites in Sweden.

You would also:

• Provide IT support to end-users (office and remote) and field engineers

• Perform system administration tasks and manage local backup solutions

• Implement redundant setups for IT solutions and perform patch management

• Daily monitoring of systems and integrations

• Analyze and solve reported errors, and document monitoring procedures

• Manage contacts with suppliers of local IT systems and communicate with end-users

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for a candidate who:

• has good knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Desktop (10/11), and actual Windows Server operating systems

• has experience with Microsoft Teams and basic MS 365 understanding

• has VMware knowledge and experience, including Windows Server based networks

• has experience in analyzing & troubleshooting 1st & 2nd level problems

• has knowledge about ITIL framework with focus on service requests, incidents, and problem management

• has experience in working with some major Service Desk systems

• is fluent in both English and Swedish, both verbal and written

The ideal candidate for this role should have over 3 years of experience in a global company, particularly focusing on central infrastructure. They should be experienced in working with hosted and central environments and be willing to travel within the region, attending ITO meetings once a year. Fluency in both English and Swedish, both verbal and written, is essential.

In terms of personal qualities, the ideal candidate should possess good analysis skills and be able to work independently as well as in a team. They should be a team player and self-driven, with an eagerness to help out when needed. Flexibility and a hands-on approach are important, along with strong communication skills and a structured, organized manner of working. A positive customer service attitude, understanding of business needs, and stress resistance are also key attributes.
