The JP Softlines Private Brands team is looking for a Sr. Instock Manager for the fast growing Retail Fashion Private Brands business. The position includes the creation and shaping of new scalable processes to promote, sell, and improve Fashion private brands in close cooperation with the international Private Brands globalization team and Category Leadership.

The ideal candidate is familiar with Amazon’s systems, is comfortable working in an international environment with higher degrees of ambiguity and deeply passionate about building a new businesses that creates outstanding value for our customers. The candidate will provide strategic vision and develop short and long term initiatives to deliver explosive, sustainable growth. They will be a thoughtful high-energy self-­starter, with strong business acumen, acute analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with a proven ability to influence and maximize the business externally and internally and able to earn trust throughout the organization. This individual will thrive in a fast-­paced, data-driven environment and grow and inspire a team.

In this role, you will:

Develop and own inventory management strategies to maximize customer experience, sales, margin and inventory turns by ensuring we have the right product quantities in the right places at the right time.

Set goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.

Lead cross functional collaboration on systems and processes necessary to support business needs. Define technical requirements and partner with technology teams to build scalable solutions to business problems.

Collaborate with suppliers, 3P Logistic Service Providers, and Amazon operations teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and resolve supply chain issues.

Develop KPIs and metrics to manage business performance and report to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacture, supply chain, retail, consulting management or related field.

• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

• Experience and track record in dealing with technical and non-technical senior level staff

• Communication skills both fluent in Japanese and English (written & verbal)

• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree/ MBA preferred

• Highly innovative, flexible and self-directed. Track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Process oriented, with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives including technology teams.

• Familiarity with SQL
