Kuehne+Nagel Network Security Automation Engineer (m/f/d) in Tallinn, Estonia

You'll join our global team of network security specialists, who ensure smooth IT operations by delivering stable and secure network services.

Your Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. The focus of this role will be on automation, utilizing the most used coding languages to streamline and optimize our network security operations. As part of the Global Network Security team, you will develop and manage our global corporate network solutions. We believe that automation and DevOps techniques are fundamental to our success in bringing reliable and secure communication solutions to our organization. Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain network security automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our network infrastructure, including integration with cloud platforms;

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network automation issues, providing timely and effective resolutions for both on-premises and cloud-based networks;

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in network automation and cloud computing, bringing innovative ideas to improve network performance and scalability;

  • Support customers on security issues and requirements.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Experience as a Network Automation Engineer or similar role, with expertise in automation in an enterprise environment, programming skills in languages such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar scripting languages, and experience with network automation frameworks and tools;

  • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching. And further network security principles and best practices;

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, concepts, and cloud integration techniques, including API interactions and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies (preferred);

  • Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting advantageous (preferred);

  • Strong communication (in English) and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams;

  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
