Who You'll Work With

As a Senior Technical Writer, you'll be an integral member of the tech docs team, contributing to our Compute portfolio. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, product managers, and a diverse range of professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding technical communication to a global audience.

Your expertise will transform raw information into accessible guides and materials that resonate with customers, administrators, and IT professionals alike. You'll be the linchpin in ensuring that content is not only accurate and comprehensive but also aligns with the evolving needs of our users. By staying attuned to industry trends and product innovations, your work will continually enhance the value and impact of our documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical writing role and DITA or topic based writing.

  • Proficient with industry-standard documentation tools such as Oxygen, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, or MadCap Flare.

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS blade and rack servers, compute nodes, and fabric interconnects.

  • Knowledge of Cloud, Data Center based servers.

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation.

  • Familiarity with data-center technologies, including storage, networking, and GPU acceleration.

  • Experience utilizing version control systems like Git, AEM and content management systems such as SharePoint and JIRA.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.

  • Experience working with safety and compliance functions.
