Major Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering value to customers by supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high quality products and solutions as per OFR Strategy, customer commitments and organizational goals.

You will lead the cross-functional execution of complex strategic programs across a variety of projects. The identification, acquisition and consumption of information is the key to unlocking the future of Global Medicines Development. This role will lead the engagement, collection, and prioritisation of the Information Management roadmap. The roadmap is the key deliverable for ensuring business benefit realization, alignment with IT to manage the backlog, and delivering the ecosystem of the future.

  • Manage successful end to end delivery of information management initiatives through active leadership and engagement both at a strategic and detailed program level

  • Accountable for information management business prioritization of data entities that drive IT and Data Governance process execution. Ensure alignment to OFR scope and priority.

  • This role will lead a team of Data Drivers who leads the development of business requirements/user stories with key focus on teasing out data needs and translating those needs for IT consumption.

  • Able to connect Data Drivers deep into the AstraZeneca business to ensure Information Management is reaching to those who understand the interconnectivity of process, systems, and data so that needs, gaps, and approach is comprehensive.

  • Follow portfolio of projects from initiation through adoption to ensure clear end to end view.

  • Track progress on cross functional programs plans, assess actual performance against the program plan, make adjustments consistent with plan objectives, and ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress and issues.

  • Work with implementation partners and consultants to facilitate success, ensure accountability, execute timeliness, maintain governance and continuously facilitate change

  • Partner with senior leadership, business partners to ensure requirements, customer business goals and objectives are clear and align to concrete strategic and tactical plans.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master’s degree in related field (ie. MBA, MFM, MS, other) preferred.

  • Significant experience within Business, IT, or a related field.

  • At least five years of program management and/or project management leadership roles. Project management certification preferred (PMP and/or PgMP).

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or Agile delivery method preferred.

  • Expert level program/project management skills in development and delivery of large scale technical implementations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing direct reports, as well as teams within large cross functional projects.

  • Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.

  • Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across business partners and technology leaders and influencing successful outcomes.

  • Experience working successfully in a highly matrixed work environment.

  • Experience working with industry leading agile software solution (Jira, Rally, etc) preferred.

  • Understanding of, and the ability to navigate in, large complex organizations. Is comfortable working in an environment of uncertainty and complexity.
