Manager of Quality Improvement

What you will do:

Provide clinical management support to St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA) under the direction of the Director of Quality. Manager will assist the Director in planning, managing, implementing and monitoring quality and population-based programs for Physician Practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement value-based programs, including but not limited to, Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+), Primary Care First (PCF) practices who participate in this accreditation.

  • Educate providers and clinical staff on quality and population health metrics as well as appropriate documentation.

  • Schedule periodic meetings with physicians and staff to monitor progress and compliance with quality improvement action plans.

  • Work with clinical staff to implement streamlined and efficient workflow changes

  • Liaison with all Payers to maximize incentives and prioritize opportunities.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns related to outcomes

  • Collaborate with practice management, IT and others to identify and implement key process changes required for effective practice operations and adherence to best practice standards.

  • Accountable for compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities as assigned; such as webinars, state, regional and national meetings as well as conferences.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations.

  • Work cooperatively with all team members to ensure quality patient care

  • Communicates respectfully and effectively with providers, clinical staff, colleagues, managers and others.

What you will need:

  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of clinical experience one of which should be in a physician practice setting preferred

  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred. Associates degree required

  • Experience with ambulatory Quality/Population-Based Programs (i.e. MIPS, PCMH, CPC+)

  • Experience with EMR functionality and capabilities

  • Demonstrated Project Management

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and leadership skills

  • Ability to work closely with physicians and their staff

  • Experience working with accreditation standards in a healthcare setting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Pay range: $31.01-$49.61

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
