Element Materials Technology NDT Level III in Rancho Dominguez, California

Overview

The NDT Level III will be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual doc-uments utilized at Element. A Level III shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations for the technique/method to which certified and should be capable of directing the work of train-ees and Level 1 & 2 personnel. The Level III Technician will have an advanced knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology. Will consider 5+ year experience in Level II, with ability to move to Levell III.

Salary: $90K/yr-$140K/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contract review: Ensure client requirements are met on each project involving: Review and approving work orders and making changes accordingly

  • Create profiles for new part numbers and update old profiles

  • Creating and approving all RT techniques, ensuring they meet client and project requirements

  • Department procedure creation, maintenance and review

  • Assist Quality Manager with client audits

  • Ensure equipment is calibrated / certified per required procedures and client requirements

  • Contact customers with technical questions regarding information missing on purchase orders

  • Conduct performance reviews for all certified technicians

  • Certify & re-certify inspectors

  • Review certifications for corrections and revisions

  • Provides excellent customer service

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required

  • High level computer user: Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point

  • Diverse knowledge of Aerospace NDT specifications. Added benefit with exposure to, Boeing, GE, Honeywell, and Pratt

  • Familiar with testing codes and standards

  • Must be able to read and write English
