Employer: AlixPartners, LLP Position: Management Consultant (SVP, Automotive & Industrial) in New York, NY.Duties: Serve in management consulting role at global management consulting firm. Conduct organizational studies and evaluations and develop solutions or alternative methods to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively by leading consulting teams and managing subordinate consultants’ efforts in: gathering and analyzing data on problems or procedures; analyzing data gathered and developing solutions and alternative methods of proceeding; conferring with personnel to ensure successful functioning of newly implanted systems or procedures; interviewing personnel and conducting on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed and methods, equipment and personnel used; documenting findings of study and preparing recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes; and planning study of work problems and procedures. Lead the design of systems and procedures to address performance concerns within the client’s organization and improve the organization’s structure, efficiency, or profits. Lead work simplification and measurement studies including benchmarking, best practices, and competitor assessment studies. Directly advise clients on organizational strategy to solve problems and transform operations. Confer with management and consulting team to identify problems and improvements in order to recommend implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related field. Requires 3 years of experience in management consulting, strategic consulting or strategy analysis, business analysis, or consulting.Requires 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:-Experience using Advanced Excel, SQL, and BI software for quantitative analysis of diverse data sets to formulate clear, actionable recommendations by structuring and solving ambiguous problems.-Establishing and maintaining enduring, trust-based relationships with a diverse range of clients and effectively communicating structured findings and recommendations to deliver impactful and sustainable solutions persuasively to both clients and senior leaders.-Leading and developing diverse and inclusive teams to achieve optimal project outcomes and collaborating with a range of experts to ensure the success of projects and high levels of client satisfaction.-Managing independent workstreams and navigating ambiguous problems to ensure effective project execution, coordinating with various stakeholders for seamless implementation and sustained performance improvements.Up to 80% of travel to undetermined domestic and international client locations, as needed. 100% telecommuting permitted in the US.$175,000 - $275,000 per year.
