Citigroup Head of Marketing Capabilities and MarTech Transformation (C15/Director) in New York, New York

The Head of Marketing Capabilities is responsible for driving and implementing best-in-class marketing technology platforms and tools to deliver against Citibank’s US Personal Banking and Wealth strategic vision of generating always on and personalized marketing offers. The individual in this role will inform, plan, and deliver Marketing’s Technology stack to attract new prospects and engage our customers. This role is critical to the organization as they will lead a team to define & deliver on Citi’s MarTech roadmap that is designed for ease of use, automating, and speed to market to deliver seamless digital customer experiences that are personalized and relevant. The MarTech stack will enable data driven decisions with automation, streamline process that drive operating efficiency and improve business performance across Consumer & Small Business Retail Bank, Cards, and Wealth lines of business.

The job requires a deep understanding of technology and the landscape regarding tools/services, architectural design and key players such as, but not limited to, Adobe Suite, Salesforce, Movable ink, Data Architecture platform (AWS, Azure), Snowflake, Pega, etc. This leader will have strong passion and experience with driving large scale transformation initiatives. An ideal candidate will be someone that can build strong partnerships with our Business Strategy, Technology and Analytics organizations to design robust marketing journeys and transformation roadmaps that result in driving our end-state commercial business objectives. The individual will be a data driven decision maker with proven communication skills that is hyper focus on problem solving and experience with delivering multiyear transformation projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Define and drive the strategic agenda for the Marketing organization’s MarTech roadmap, mobilizing key partners across the end-to-end ecosystem inclusive of near term & long term priorities for critical domains e.g. campaign management & workflow, content management, channel management & delivery, audience management, etc.

  • Responsible for managing marketing platform capabilities and infrastructure that spans traditional and non-digital marketing needs.

  • Experience with design and build strategic transformation roadmap for the US consumer marketing organization aligned with business priorities and secure necessary resources and processes to successfully deliver on plan.

  • Responsible for managing marketing platform capabilities and infrastructure that spans traditional and non-digital marketing needs.

  • Deliver Citi with Adobe content stack, enabling dynamic, personalized digital content, and testing capabilities.

  • Build out content personalization capabilities across channels, leveraging technologies such as Movable Ink, personalized video, and offline content personalization.

  • Lead and build next generation offer management infrastructure to enable real-time, always on, customer level promotional offers

  • Hire and lead a high performing MarTech solutions team

  • Partner with Citi and 3rd Party Technology partners to design seamless marketing processes to deliver on business financial goals

  • Passion and ability to drive Citi solution by filtering all the new landscape MarTech tools/services that will allow Citi to deliver products and services and our financial commitments.

  • Manage the technology Book of Work and delivery of multi-year, including the multi-million-dollar technology investment

  • 8-10+ years of managerial experience with motivating team to deliver value to business

  • Act as a change management champion, educating the greater marketing organization on how to leverage new capabilities to drive their strategy.

  • Ensure the proper control and operational models are designed, socialized, and adopted upon migration to new capabilities and establish automated reporting and analytics to deliver robust insights on transformation KPIs.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications :

  • 15+ years of experience working with MarTech / AdTech capabilities & implementation including marketing content, audience management, and channels; 8-10 years of experience of managerial experience.

  • Experience with marketing technology architecture, backend systems, data dependencies, and front-end interfaces that are required to implement and execute digital marketing campaigns.

  • Experience leading complex Adobe AEM projects, offer management tools, Pega, Salesforce marketing cloud, etc.

  • Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to operate in “white space” and experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes

  • Expert knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services in order to drive to the commercial objectives of the business, as well as thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business.

  • Customer-centric and tech-savvy product leader able to drive technical and operational teams to solutions that focus on delivering outstanding experiences supported by agile and efficient operational processes.

  • Executive leadership skills and demonstrated success in conveying complex concepts, solutions, and relevant business impacts to leadership audiences in order to gain support and sponsorship for projects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with the ability to influence the development and execution of key strategies/initiatives.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
