MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Operational Risk:

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Operational Risk group is responsible for overseeing the operational risk and control framework within the Wealth Management (WM) business unit. This role entails a range of responsibilities in a team environment, focused on Non-Financial Risk Governance and Recovery and Resolution Planning for the WM function.

This role provides broad exposure across 1stline and 2ndline functions to provide a holistic reporting and risk analysis for WM. The responsibilities of the role are a combination of business-as-usual processes, as well as ad hoc requests in support of WM risk management.

Specific duties within the WM Operational risk team will include: * Monitor and maintain Non-Financial Risk metric inventory, including coordination with 1st line risk governance committees and 2nd line operational risk oversight to ensure consistency and completeness * Ensure completeness of Legal Operational Risk loss incident reporting through reconciliation to the general ledger * Utilize Dataiku to collate and compare process, vendor, and application in order to provide a comprehensive WM organizational view for Recovery and Resolution Planning and Process Mapping * Coordinate Recovery and Resolution Plan Data Room attestations with the responsible owners. * Support preparation of WM Recovery and Resolution Plan by maintaining organizational profiles in the buyer’s document with cross-functional business contacts * Assist other team members with non-financial risk analysis and Wealth Management Operational Risk Committee material review * Execute on ad hoc projects for WM risk management, ensuring on-time delivery and the proper level of quality

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of risk management and reporting, financial reporting, and/or Audit experience
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office suite, emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Dataiku, or similar data science application
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication

· Ability to work well within a team

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure and to tight deadlines * Strong analytical skills. Must take a data and facts-based approach to problem solving * Bachelor’s degree required
