Due to current business opportunities, we are looking to appoint a Senior Associate Water Process Engineer to join our fast-growing Water Infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of water professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients both locally and nationally.

We have a diverse base of water clients across the region and this role will contribute to setting and implementing strategy and capability for this client base, with support from the metropolitan water business.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Associate Water Process Engineer is responsible for providing consultancy, engineering services, technical input and direction in design in the ANZ region. The role will work alongside the Principal Engineers taking a lead role with project delivery, design management and project management, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services.

Responsible for overseeing delivery of water infrastructure engineering projects, supported by the Water Section as well as the wider Jacobs business. Provide technical engineering input, engineering management, business development and leadership to internal and external projects. Work closely with the Water Leadership Team and provide technical leadership and supervision of other engineers.

Leads the delivery of water treatment projects in the role of principal engineer or design manager. Provides leadership to the water team members, including coaching and mentoring on project delivery. Takes a leadership role in quality assurance of projects, fully familiar with and apply Jacobs QA procedures. Provide technical leadership in the field in own area of specialisation, sharing and applying technical knowledge to address problems and determine actions. Determines and addresses underlying client needs, confirms satisfaction and sets up client feedback systems.

Contributes to successful operation of the Water Performance Unit regionally through technical leadership.

Supports our virtual teaming strategy, and a culture supporting work-sharing and mobility across the business. Participates in open and honest feedback relating to project and team performance issues.

Provide support to graduate and junior staff, as required, to facilitate project delivery and development of team capability. Relevant tertiary education and maintain professional accreditation (e.g. CPEng or equivalent).

Extensive experience in the planning, design and construction of water infrastructure and treatment. Knowledge and application of appropriate Health and Safety practices.

The role will support the Water ANZ Performance Unit and the wider Jacobs water business to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.

Qualifications / Experience:

Relevant tertiary education. Maintains applicable professional body accreditations.

Extensive experience in the planning, design and construction of water treatment infrastructure.

Knowledge and application of appropriate Health and Safety practices. Takes a role in quality assurance of projects.

Provide leadership in own area of specialisation, sharing and applying technical knowledge to address problems and determine actions.

Authentic and empathetic leadership. People management skills including effective communication.

Determines and addresses underlying client needs. Sets up client feedback systems and confirms satisfaction.
