What you need to know about this position:

With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks. As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Work independently, lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks.

  • Be involved in process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies.

  • Manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities.

  • Provide technical process inputs for establishing new lines and new products.

  • Optimize process parameters for productivity and efficiency.

  • Partner the Area Lead in efficient and safe manufacture of high-quality product through Servant Leadership, the application of IL6S principles & concepts, zero loss mindset and driving Best in Class results in SQDCSM for the designated Area / Lines across all shifts.

  • Owns Loss Analysis of the Area and engages the line teams in loss analysis, deployment of targets, and managing loss elimination activities.

  • Lead identification of loss elimination projects for their line/s to support delivery of line productivity targets.

  • Build RCA capability in the team so they can undertake incident investigations and identify appropriate actions.

  • Identify development opportunities and skill gaps within the team and provide recommendations to Area Lead for training focus.

What you will bring

  • Relevant engineering experience, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods environment

  • Working in teams and independently with appropriate guidance

  • Communicating technical information effectively verbally and in writing

  • Technical curiosity, continuous learner, and a drive to ensure technical rigor.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent communication and Stakeholder management skills

  • SAP and Operational Excellence Experience is preferable.

  • Understanding of RCM & FMECA principals and methodology

Tertiary qualification in Engineering discipline.

Work schedule:

This is an on-site role working 5 days a week from office.
