Raytheon Australia is proud to be the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Strategic Partner, working hand-in-hand procuring, developing, updating and integrating a range of EW subsystems to form the Maritime Electronic Warfare System (MEWS) .

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to support our Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare Project Management Office. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support and assistance with project management, financial and quality support. This includes coordination of key activities across resource planning, risk and opportunity, continuous process improvements, environment health and safety, security, and facilities.

The Role:

The Project Coordinator is required to undertake a broad range of general administrative duties and will be the key communicator across the program team ensuring project objectives and deadlines are met.

As a Project Coordinator within Raytheon Australia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of Australia by assisting with the delivery of complex, state-of-the-art programs to modernise Maritime EW Systems for the Royal Australian Navy.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience and responsibility for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of work area.

  • Ability to set and achieve day-to-day objectives for own area of responsibility to meet the objectives or goals of projects and work assignments that have a moderate impact on the work area.

  • Experience communicating with parties within and outside of own team and work area.

  • Experience explaining policies, practices, and procedures in relation to the work area to others within the organisation and when necessary work to influence decision-makers and gain cooperation of other parties on policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Understanding of workforce planning concepts, development, and maintenance of a workforce plan.

  • Ability to perform risk and opportunity capture and maintenance.

  • A knowledge of, and an ability to accept responsibility for environmental health and safety.

  • Experience working autonomously with limited supervision on larger, moderately complex projects / assignments.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to appropriately prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines and follow through on all assigned tasks to ensure timely completion.

  • Consistent ethical conduct and discretion in all matters, interactions, and agreements with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Skilled in the use of project management software (Organisational Process Performance, Microsoft Project, etc) and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to NV -1 - eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
