PMO Analyst, London

In order to fully support best practice and successful delivery of the Campaign to Cash (C2C) p rogramme, AVEVA is looking to strengthen its PMO by recruiting an PMO Analyst dedicated to the programme.

The primary focus of this role will be to provide programme management support to drive data quality with particular focus on time, cost, and quality.

Additional key areas will be risks and issues, reporting and MI quality, resource management as well as contributing to the development and refinement of standards, procedures, and documents. The Programme PMO Analyst is a central hub of the programme team who works closely with the core programme management te am to align governance and tools throughout the project lifecycle.

Actively provide Project Management Office services and drive best practice and continuous improvement.

T he PMO Analyst will demonstrate relevant subject matter knowledge and the ability to coach programme and project team members on all aspects of PMO processes and controls to support the successful delivery of projects and programmes across the portfolio.

Further the PMO Analyst will regularly review and improve existing PMO processes and controls and maintain documentation and tools as well as creating and analysing portfolio reporting across Time, Cost and Quality measures and KPIs. Further, ensuring all project risks are correctly managed and escalated as required .

The PMO Analyst may also be required to attend project working groups and programme workstream governance forums to provide guidance and support decision-making. They will be able to ensure reporting is effective and distributed in a timely manner as well as escalating issues where appropriate .

Principal Accountabilities

  • Status reporting – Drive quality of status reports and dashboards using the PPM tool to ensure compliance with and adherence to the PMO standards.

  • Planning – Drive the quality and coherence of plans. Ensure milestones, deliverables and activities are represented correctly in plans and any dependencies are noted. Ensure plans are baselined and tracked.

  • Resource Management – Regular review and QA of Resource Management plans to identify any resource bottlenecks in a timely manner.

  • RAID – Ensure that the Workfront RAID registers are kept updated and contain the latest action plans and escalations are actioned appropriately.

  • Coaching – Provide coaching and guidance around PMO Standards, Reporting requirements and tool usage.

  • Logistics – Facilitate workshops and meetings including logistics, invitations, and coordination.

  • Collaboration – Maintain access lists to SharePoint sites, Distribution Lists, Teams sites and Workfront as required.

  • Governance – Prepare draft of Governance meeting slide decks, record and disseminate actions and risk escalations, as necessary. Implement PPM standards aligned to TO (where applicable). Develop and present proposals to improve PMO governance, standards, and procedures.

  • Finance Management – Regular review and QA of project finances to highlight any funding issues in a timely manner.

  • Change Control – Ensure PMs and Programme Managers following the Change Control process and track outcomes, ensure re-baselining as required.

  • Important Working Relationships– •Programme Team•Transformation Office (TO)•Other PMO Teams •Function Leaders, Subject Matter Experts

Experience Required

The individual can demonstrate:

  • Experienced PMO Analyst in IT (5+ years)

  • Risk and Issue Management Experience

  • Resource Management

  • Status report management and MI preparation

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working with data, data management, data visualisation tools

Technical Knowledge:

  • P3O or similar qualification preferred

  • Ideally previous experience of Oracle Project Space, Adobe Workfrontor other PMIS tools

  • An understanding of the tools and templates used to manage projects and programmes

  • MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure DevOps

  • Project / Programme Management qualifications/ certifications e.g. PRINCE 2/ MSP preferred
