Veralto Senior Buyer in Hod Hasharon, Israel

WHO WE ARE:

Esko (AVT product line) is a high-tech company that develops and manufactures automatic quality control systems for the printing industry, located in Kfar Saba.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer for a full-time position to join a successful team with a great atmosphere and global activities as part of a successful American corporation.

The position offered is within the company's Operations department as a purchasing team member. You will be expected to research potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Your role will be critical in maintaining our inventory levels and ensuring we get the best possible prices for the products we need.

WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

Strategic Cost Reduction Orientation:

  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction throughout the supply chain.

  • Analyze market trends and economic indicators to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Excellent Negotiation Skills:

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Monitor contract performance and address any deviations from agreed-upon terms.

Sourcing New Vendors and Identifying Cost Reduction Opportunities:

  • Actively seek and evaluate new vendors to expand the supplier base.

  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce material costs while maintaining quality standards.

Project Management Skills (2nd Source, EOL):

  • Manage projects related to second sourcing and end-of-life (EOL) materials.

  • Ensure smooth transitions during changes in the supply chain, minimizing disruptions.

Manage RM from NPI to Mass Production:

  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials from the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to mass production.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align material requirements with production schedules.

Subcontractor Management:

  • Evaluate, select, and manage subcontractors to meet production demands.

  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Day-to-Day Vendor Management:

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day relationships with vendors.

  • Address and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and performance.

Material Ordering, Postponing, and Rescheduling:

  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Forecast data to optimize material ordering.

  • Adjust orders as necessary, considering changing production needs and market conditions.

Cross-Functional Management and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Planning teams to align procurement activities with project timelines.

  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across different departments.

Reports Analysis, Drawings Reading, Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge:

  • Analyze reports related to procurement, cost, and supplier performance.

  • Possess the ability to read technical drawings and demonstrate knowledge of both mechanical and electrical components.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Minimum of 10 years in a production company, with a proven procurement and supply chain management track record.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with systems such as Agile and MFG Pro.

  • Mechanical and electronic knowledge

  • Reading Drawings knowledge

  • Negotiation expertise
