  • Job Title: Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (The Hershey Experience)* * Job Location:* Hershey, PA * Summary:* The Hershey Experience (THX) financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Sr Analyst is the financial business partner to the Hershey Retail and THX administration organizations. The Sr Analyst has full P&L responsibility, assisting the business as it engages directly with our Hershey consumers and expands our influence. Some main activities include driving alignment between Operations and Marketing on Financial targets, working on models to define investment (CapEx, OpEx) decisions, and managing SG&A budgets. THX FP&A Sr Analyst is responsible for the total THX FP&A consolidation and outlook. Consolidates THX areas together for a full P&L view during BU’s/Plan and provides ongoing P&L analysis and recommendations. Responsibilities also include coordinating the IBM monthly process and the annual THX Strategic Plan. THX FP&A Sr Analyst also leads various ad-hoc analyses and requests, including but not limited to capital projects and new Marketing initiatives. This role is an exciting opportunity to manage the entire P&L, directly influence business decisions and implement financial enhancements in a unique consumer facing business! * Core Experiences from Finance Experience Map:* 1. / P/(L) and B/S Ownership & Improvement/ 1. Meet financial targets of annual or strategic plan by managing risks and opportunities 2. Perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make recommendations for improvements going forward 2. / Business Partnership & Communication/ 1. Partner with business unit to develop actionable insights from financial data and analytics * Major Duties/Responsibilities:* * * Global Retail Finance Lead* o Expectations include value-added decision support, capital planning, and robust financial analysis around all lines of the P&L. o Responsible for various in-depth modeling around concept and capability. Build Finance resource plan over Strategic Plan horizon. o Support Director of Global Retail in strategic decision-making processes around resource allocation, SG&A budgets, and outlooks. o Elevate the Owned Retail business through enhanced data & analytical capabilities to drive business growth and support key initiatives. o FP&A outputs produce weekly, monthly, and annual KPI information to support the Operations teams business targets. o Lead ad hoc financial requests based on ever-evolving needs and priorities (COGS analysis, Hourly labor spend, SG&A planning). o Ensure capital & OpEx project work have robust ROI, remain on budget and within scope. o Support projects around SKU rationalization, pricing, promotion analysis, and planning activities. * * THX FP&A* o Coordinate Annual Plan, monthly BUs, Strategic Plan, and out-year capital and IS plans. o Support a fast-moving environment to update financial models and scenarios quickly and efficiently. o Responsible for overall THX monthly leaders meeting processes, timelines, and content collection. o Budgeting SG&A/cost centers. o Prepare executive level decks on business performance. * * Other THX Projects* Other THX Finance needs and ad hoc projects as they develop * Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:* * Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis functions, including design of risk modeling, annual planning, monthly outlook processes, and business case development. * Self-starter capable of taking the initiative with minimal direction and demonstrates initiative by working proactively, raising key opportunities and risks/issues to management teams. * Comfortable working with a wide variety of models and businesses * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; an ideal candidate is comfortable presenting to all levels of management * Ability to summarize, simplify, and communicate to drive decisive decision-making. * Strong personal leadership * Strong ability to work cross-functionally and understand resource constraints/obstacles * Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees * Works effectively in a team environment * Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint * Knowledge and experience with other ERP systems preferred * Minimum education & experience requirements:* Education: * High School Diploma or GED required * Bachelor's degree in Finance or business-related field required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience preferred Experience: * 3 - 5 years’ work experience in FP&A, planning, analytical and/or strategic capacity. * CPG and/or other consumer-facing products experience preferred. * Experience developing processes and driving adoption preferred. #LI-TL1 #LI-Onsite The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
