Machinist CNC

Description

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Analyzing and manufacturing complex components using machine tool equipment.

• Utilizing precision measuring devices, layout work and set up tool room machines to build or fabricate details and assemble as needed.

• Responsible for setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment.

• Programming, optimizing, and start-up of machinery by selecting appropriate tools and materials.

• Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.

• Recognizing control related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following competencies:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.

• Demonstrated experience operating and working CNC machining.

• Background experience utilizing Haas tools is highly valued.

• Previous experience utilizing measurement instruments such as micrometer, column, caliper of machined parts.

• Previous knowledge reading and interpretating plans.

• Experience performing and documenting preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education.
