Company Description As a Business Services Consultant focused on serving employers, you will be integral to the success of OhioMeansJobs|Columbus - Franklin County's mission to connect businesses with qualified candidates. Your role will involve understanding the unique needs of employers, sourcing top talent, and facilitating successful placements. You'll work closely with business leaders to ensure their recruitment needs are met efficiently and effectively. Job Description Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with businesses throughout Franklin County, understanding their unique hiring needs and challenges. Talent Sourcing: Utilize various channels, including databases, job boards, and networking events, to source qualified candidates tailored to the requirements of local employers. AI tools, Chat GPT Candidate Assessment: Assist recruiters with conducting thorough assessments of job seekers to ensure they align with employers' expectations and requirements. Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates to meet the ongoing needs of employers. Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to assess staffing needs, provide market insights, and assist with salary negotiations. Recruitment Events: Plan and execute recruitment events tailored to the needs of specific employers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for both employers and candidates. Market Analysis: Stay informed about local labor market trends, industry developments, and emerging job opportunities to better serve employers. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employer interactions, candidate placements, and other relevant information in the organization's databases. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including those related to workforce development programs. Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback from employers to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance service delivery. Training and Development: Stay updated on best practices in recruiting, workforce development, and employer engagement through continuous learning and professional development activities. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the Business Services team to achieve shared goals and objectives. Collaborate with business leaders * Contribute to strong pipeline generation. Work on large scale recruiting initiatives for a single employer where you will be responsible for finding candidates, engage in talent mapping and succession planning for recruiting events and scheduling candidates for interview times. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or 3 year's work experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruiting. Comprehensive understanding of the regional economy and industries within Franklin County. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends Friendly, professional demeanor Sales or staffing experience preferred Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred Ability to work well in teams and independently Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work well in teams and independently Valid Driver's License in good standing and proof of current automobile insurance required Additional Information This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the economic vitality of Franklin County by bridging the gap between employers and qualified job seekers.
