The Senior Marketing Manager will be a part of the combined Immuno-Oncology and EGFR Lung Cancer Customer Marketing Teams. The role will be the national speaker programming lead for our U.S. Oncology product portfolio. The Sr. Marketing Manager will report to the Director, Lung Cancer Customer and Disease Strategy and be based in Gaithersburg, MD.
The role will be responsible for the overall strategy and execution of our Lung Cancer Speaker Programs and solutions, to position AstraZeneca externally as a commercial leader in the treatment of lung cancer. The role will work in close partnership with cross functional partners including brand marketing, field sales, medical, and other functions, in order to support execution of integrated speaker program strategy.
·Responsible for leading the execution of Speaker Program strategy for our Lung Cancer Product Portfolio.
·Responsible for all speaker program training for internal/external stakeholders.
·Support of field speaker programming execution, metrics creation and tracking, and incentive management.
·Responsible for overall management of branded and unbranded disease materials (ex. PowerPoint assets, etc.).
·Responsible for strategic content and format development of multiple channels (Case studies, tumor boards, MDT, etc.)
·Responsible for collaboration with internal teams on speaker identification, contracting, and training.
·Partner on and pull through thought leader engagement, speaker bureau management, and disease education for Lung portfolio
·Collaborate closely with cross functional (medical affairs and commercial) teams to strategically identify and prioritize market challenges/barriers and implement new solutions
·Possess strong leadership, business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups
·Strong experience and working understanding of thought leader engagement, customer strategy, disease education platforms/processes and lung cancer are critical for success
·Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
·3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, strategic planning
·Previous disease education and/or marketing experience
·Be available to work some evenings and weekends
·Oncology or specialty care experience
·Prior experience working with or leading a speaker program strategy
·MBA in marketing or pharmaceutical marketing
·Strong leadership skills
·Great communication skills
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
·Ability to strategically develop and gauge feasibility, impact and risks of proposed programs
·Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment and industry
