We have an exciting opportunity to work in the Global Marketing Team of the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) as a Global Brand Manager, Immuno-oncology, Franchise Strategy, GI and Head & Neck whom is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic and operational commercial plan in the dynamic Immuno-Oncology (IO) therapeutic class. The position is an opportunity to define the future of AstraZeneca’s IO product(s) which will continue to revolutionize the treatment paradigm in oncology.
The opportunity will be to shape AstraZeneca’s IO Franchise Strategy across on-market and pipeline indications with franchise-wide strategy. This role is uniquely positioned to also actively contribute to the global launch planning of new indications in the GI and Head & Neck cancer space supporting both IMFINZI® (durvalumab) and other molecule(s) from the extensive AstraZeneca Immuno-oncology pipeline.
The role works collaboratively with key global country and regional leads based in the US, Europe, Asia as well as wide range of headquarter functions including: global marketing, product development, insight and analytics, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, digital groups, corporate affairs, and others. Reports directly to the Global IO Franchise Strategy Marketing Director.
You will support global launch planning in new indications (therapeutic areas) across multiple molecules in GI and Head & Neck Cancer.
In collaboration with Director, you will evolve and execute on the global brand strategy plan. As well as lead brand-wide initiatives spanning many teams across the Immuno-oncology franchise
You will lead as the advocate for the brand-wide positioning, messaging, and brand narrative; create pre-launch materials (unbranded campaigns, etc.) for healthcare providers to be used globally.
You will serve as an ad-hoc member to the product lifecycle team responsible for key clinical development decisions impacting the future of registrational clinical trials; partner with global analytics and insights team to develop and analyze market research enabling clinical development investment decisions, global resourcing of launch teams.
Support evaluation of new indication expansion opportunities
Develop the messaging and core global marketing materials
Lead relationship with advertising agency and the reciprocal development of materials
Collaborate with corporate affairs to ensure appropriate communication of therapeutic intent
Maintain the latest clinical and scientific knowledge of rapidly evolving oncology therapeutic areas
Lead development of advisory boards and partnerships with key external experts
Collaborate with training teams to ensure launch readiness of sales and marketing leads across the globe
Bachelor's degree, preferably in science or business
5+ years of marketing, sales, analytics, product management background in the biopharmaceutical market
Effective cross-functional project team communication, leadership and influencing skills
Validated experience and knowledge of external customers including patients, prescribers, payers, providers
Proven use of insights to deliver effective marketing/ commercial strategies
In-depth understanding of the R&D process and importance of integrating commercial and development strategic plans
Relevant advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MD or MBA)
In-line brand marketing experience for an oncology, immunology or specialty care product
Global product launch or marketing experience
Healthcare provider marketing experience
Market research, planning, analytics, market access/ reimbursement experience
Knowledge of diagnostics and the personalized healthcare environment
