The AD Business Architecture & Strategy position leads and advocates strategic direction for US Commercial Business ecosystem landscape including initiatives with various Customer Experience (CX) pillars, the Strategic Business Units, and other Commercial Businessteams that drives revenue management / top-line sales targets and profitability. This individual will work with both local and global Business and IT leaders to advocate for a US Direct Selling commercial business end-to-end architecture from upstream systems like SAP S4Hana/MDG/GTS/OTC Pricing/Vistex(Pricing, Contracts, Rebates, Transaction processing) thru downstream systems like CRM (Veeva), Salesforce Service Cloud, e-Commerce(Magento), Incentive Compensation, Alignments, Data Hubs, and various third-party vendor systems and onto reporting endpoints with Data Warehousing, Analytics, Data Science and Reporting. This includes ownership of US business processes, integrations, and data lineage architecture throughout the ecosystem. This individual will add value to help grow our Business including identification of new opportunities, simplification of landscape, and management of the business platform ecosystem. This person is responsible for building true trusted strategic partnerships and actively engaging in the relationship between IT and our Business teams locally and globally. This role will lead Technology Governance, standards, processes, and tools locally and serve as a strong lead on the BI's global boards. This role will interface at Local & Global levels to ensure business goals, information strategy, data strategy, and processes are aligned with vision and included in the decision making process. This role is critical in the change management process for the Business, GBS, and IT to ensure the teams are communicated to and issues are escalated properly and timely. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategy:

  • This person is accountable for:

  • Local and Global cross-functional interface with key stakeholders across various functions. This position is responsible for business strategy alignment with the ecosystem.

  • Mapping featurefunction capabilities to Revenue Management and Profitability opportunities

  • Responsible for further design, development and continuous improvement of capabilities and the delivery of services. In Scope includes requirements, standard processes, tools, platforms, integrations, appropriate business rules, data management, and blueprint design for the capabilities

  • Responsible for proper communication with respective business functions and markets to meet business needs and goals. Drives proactive risk assessment efforts to identify potential gaps and develop action plans needed to prevent recurrence of issues and resolve business needs

  • Industry expert in AH Commercial Business Platforms and Technology

  • Provide strategic direction that will lead to improved operating efficiencies and enhanced user experience.

  • Utilize internal resources including budget for assigned team, consultants, and third party vendors for the execution of objectives.

  • Build relationships with stakeholders.

  • Influence stakeholders and business partners to support vision and solutions for team.

  • Alignment advocacy with key data stakeholders across various functions related to Global cross-functional interfaces.

  • Strategic Partner:

  • This individual must have a true understanding of the US Business, its strategic direction, underlying processes, required outcomes, and corresponding pain points and in turn, drive technology-enabled lifecycle delivery providing leadership, assurance, and confidence to stakeholders.

  • This person will also set expectations, deliver, and promote the value of IT to their business partners. This individual will have excellent organizational abilities and be creative based on best practices in the technology landscape. Staying current and leveraging industry trends will be key to this role to advance our Business strategies. This individualwill challenge the Business and IT to drive for success and represent business interests in IT funding decisions.

  • Present and facilitate meetings adapting content to the different audiences at all levels in the organization and external industry. Manage different stakeholders and influence behaviors related to the use of the information by communicating success, concerns, risks, and status updates on related work. Work directly with peers to develop and lead communications for core processes, systems, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, with a minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years progressive experience.

  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • At least eight to ten (8-10) years of working experience in Animal Health or direct selling businesses with part of the time in IT, Business, US and Global experience.

  • Strong experience in demonstrating appropriate balance of business and technical capabilities.

  • Requires a strong technology and operational background with proven experience specifically in s4/hana and other commercial applications primarily on a salesforce platform.

  • International exposure and/or experience working in a global team setup.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with IT on system improvements and execution.

  • Excellent knowledge and skills with the broad technology landscape.

  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of revenue management and importance of Marketing & Sales related information and technology to a company, how information is vital to its operations and the interactions of its functions, and why it is critical that business information and technology be managed.

  • Demonstrated expertise in data and technology like SAP ERP Ecosystem (MDG, S/4 Hana, Vistex, GTS, OTC), Veeva CRM, Sales Force Service Cloud, Data Warehouses, Power BI, Alteryx, Python is a plus.

  • Must have a true understanding of US direct sales models along with strong IT acumen in the delivery of technology-enabled business and IT processes and data lifecycles. This individual should promote the value of IT to their business partners as well as the business needs to IT.

  • Must be able to influence the technology direction for the company.

  • Must have excellent knowledge of the technology and capability in scope of the full Platform and technology landscape with regards to methods & process, data and best practices.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence across a matrix & cross-functional organization

  • Good judgment in evaluating benefits and risks and providing sound recommendations

  • Language: Fluency in oral and written English; further language skills is a plus

  • Strong results orientation

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in the fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas, facts, and technical information to senior management, as well as other internal customers both verbally and written.

  • Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work with other disciplines.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.

  • History of successful performance.
