General Purpose and Scope of Position: The role of the Brand Manager is to accelerate the adoption rate and enhance sales as the "Product Champion" for a specific group of products Wilbur-Ellis services and sells. This position will promote and service these products to WECO locations, salespeople, growers, and wholesale customers. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness preferred; other degrees acceptable with the required experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or product development. Agribusiness or related industry. Strong background in crop protection preferred Experience managing a Sales Portfolio and executing a written Business Plan Strong understanding or experience in scouting crops, making recommendations, working with and conducting research trials Key Skills and Abilities Include: Ability to understand product positioning and profit opportunities Capability to support the development and implementation of internal and external marketing programs and brand strategies Solid organizational skills with the ability to develop a mid and long-term strategy, gain alignment and help develop tactics and action plans across diverse markets to achieve committed growth plans Extensive experience in customer needs analysis and execution of promotion related to it Multitasker, able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects to completion Excellent written and verbal and presentation communication skills Ability to influence without authority Key Personal Attributes Include: Strong ability to represent both Wilbur-Ellis and the products of the focus companies Demonstrated direction-setting around forecasting processes Skill in providing sales coaching and motivation A high degree of leadership ability including building relationships with cross-functional team members Customer-focused (internal and external) and results-oriented Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence and support the needs of the Agribusiness division and the companies associated with the focus products. Self-motivated, self-starter. Active listener Flexible and adaptable team player with demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate, collaborate and engage members of the team including senior management Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Analyze market opportunity by location utilizing WECO sales history and margin analysis of competitive products Partner with District Sales Managers and Sales Managers on strategy and execution to achieve target sales growth Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the focus products which aims at actively increasing market share and improving financial performance Guide the launch of strategic marketing initiatives for the focus products Continuously analyze markets and identify marketing-related risks and opportunities Promote products that provide value for crop selection. It should either save the grower money, increase yield or increase the quality Lead Wilbur-Ellis Sales Team, Dealer and Grower product meetings Provide pricing guid nce to the field sales staff on the focus Products Assist in developing location, district, and salesperson target sales goals Provide SA product communication to all levels of Wilbur-Ellis, including product introductions, product updates/positioning, and other product support materials that are developed Enhancing the ability to meet and exceed sales goals Ability to understand product positioning the focus products vs. location product sales Compensation and Benefits: In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $108,000 - $151,220. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
