In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The College of Medicine, Office of Clinical Research, is seeking to fill a Clinical Research Study Budget Administrator- Post-Award - Dual Comp position. Essential Functions Coordinate clinical trial budget amendments, billing , etc., in accordance with UC /UC Health policy and federal laws and regulations. Build the study budget into the institutional clinical trials management system when budget finalized and modify as required for amendments Manage EPIC billing queue, completing research hospital billing and mixed visit reviews in EPIC for completed visits. Review/identify issues of EPIC billing compliance for mixed visits in accordance with trial budget and MCA Obtain payment backup for ACH and check payments when not provided by sponsor. Identify quality improvement opportunities to facilitate improved processes related to post-award services. Assist with technology launches and implementation or optimization. Work in various research and financial systems/platforms. Provide training, education, onboarding and mentors other team members. When appropriate, work with necessary parties to identify compliance, legal, IP and business/financial risk. Mitigate risk through working with physicians/faculty, divisions, legal and/or other departments. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Experience with clinical trials, budgets, billing, accounting, finance, financial analyst or related field. Two (2) years of experience in business operations, healthcare, pharmaceutical or academic environment. Additional Qualifications Considered Exposure to Medicare Coverage Analysis, CPT codes. Knowledge of clinical trials processes. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office). Knowledge of Kuali, REDCap, SignalPath and CTMS platforms. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
