Position Summary

Manages and further develops Subaru of America’s (SOA’s) lifestyle partnerships and events to bring the Subaru brand to life through experiences. Creates memorable impressions and experiences for consumers and owners that they will want to share with others and that, ultimately, lead to brand awareness and consideration. Develops partnerships that help Subaru increase awareness of our product offering and the Love Promise.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manages and develops brand strategies and all aspects of Subaru of America’s (SOA’s) lifestyle partnerships, sponsorships, and experiential opportunities in order to deliver on business goals relating to brand awareness and consideration. This includes building and managing partnership relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations. Current portfolio includes nonprofit partners, outdoor lifestyle organizations, and sports teams.

  • Maintains responsibility for strategic partnership contract deliverables, negotiations on price, and renewals. This includes maintaining responsibility for reviewing these decisions with SOA Marketing teams, Legal, and Executives.

  • Develops new partnerships with organizations that align with Subaru’s brand. Performs prospecting, outreach, and evaluation of potential partners. Makes recommendations to SOA Executives for new strategic partnerships.

  • Manages and guides Subaru’s relationships with experiential marketing agencies. Manages the Agency of Record (AOR) and Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Provides clear direction on SOA business goals and on agency proposals.

  • Maintains budget responsibilities by planning and managing annual budget to support SOA’s brand partnership and experiential marketing activities. Ensures that budget is appropriately utilized for marketing, events, and agency/vendor relationships.

  • Serves as lead and project manages within SOA Marketing to develop and deliver on brand strategy. This includes:

  • Corporate Communication on earned media events and opportunities.

  • Advertising on content capture opportunities.

  • Social Media on impactful social content.

  • Leverages lifestyle partnerships and events to support new SOA product launches. This includes working with partner organizations to build brand awareness and messaging regarding new products across their diverse marketing channels.

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintains responsibility for the overall management of Subaru’s sponsorship evaluation process and the third-party evaluation partner that reviews partnership agreements. Trains SOA Field on evaluation process to ensure that the Field is utilizing the evaluation partner properly and effectively for local partnerships. Provides ongoing strategic direction to the partner on what is strategically aligned with Subaru’s brand goals in order to guide their evaluation actions.

  • Partners with IT to design, develop, and maintain Subaru’s Lead Generation platform.

  • Maintains responsibility for the planning and delivery of brand-level partnerships and events on the Region and Zone level, including partnering with Region and Zone offices.

Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant experience

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

  • Required Travel: 25%

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $108,200- $120,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
