Today, we are recruiting for a Section Lead Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Follow Package 1 progress for alignment, station, or service point works report to the site lead, and help drive P1 to completion.

  • Build a good and effective communication network with all involved parties in Package 1 activities for alignment & station works (NAT, GARB, Consultant, contractors if possible).

  • Verify and ensure that all site work parties use the latest available drawings.

  • Prepare weekly P1 progress reports supported with photos showing work progress for each site section element (Alignment, Station, Service Point, Main Depot, etc.).

  • Coordinate with Package 1 teams to assess & update the estimated site access dates.

  • Coordinate with the technical LOTs, CJV & other P2 contractors to start their activities after site access.

  • Follow up on the P2 work progress for the site activities (construction works, track works, rail infrastructure, DWE & AFC installation works, etc.).

  • Collaborate proactively with the other HSR Site Engineers and project team colleagues as well as all the involved internal & external partners.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Preferably with knowledge in Railway Construction (LWR production, ballasting, track laying, etc.)

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in site construction & delivery of complex mobility & railway projects

  • No restrictions to work between the project sites of the High-Speed Rail Project in Egypt (October Gardens, New Capital)

  • Pro-active, confident, health & safety focused, and independent with a self-starter attitude.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
