Medtronic Territory Manager, Surgical Innovation (Townsville) in Brisbane, Australia

Excitement is in the air at Medtronic, as we have a new opportunity to join Medtronic as part of the Surgical Innovations Business Unit. As a Territory Manager covering North Queensland (Townsville), you will be a passionate about sales and achieving great results in expanding and developing the Medtronic market share across a broad range of Surgical Specialties. Medtronic will provide full product training.

This is a great position for an established Territory Manager who preferably, has extensive exposure in Surgical devices across North Queensland and is seeking a great team and company culture, work-life balance and to develop their career.

A Day in the Life

  • Plan work to achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining a professional image for Medtronic in the marketplace

  • Provide regular, meaningful, and concise reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

  • Provide education effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff.

  • Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount etc.) by observation, discussion or research. Sources of intelligence will include customers, competitors, suppliers and anyone else affected by the range of products.

  • Ensure the highest level of product and technical knowledge is attained and maintained

  • Recognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company’s products

  • Actively seek to develop and expand on territory management and selling skills

  • Strive to understand customer needs and provides credible alternatives that effect mutually beneficial outcomes for the customer and the company

  • Travel requirement: up to 50%

Qualifications - External

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, nursing, science or similar qualifications.

  • Requires broad knowledge of sales techniques typically gained through education and / or on the job learning.

  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Nice To Have:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the local North Queensland healthcare environment desirable
