As the Finance Business Partner Director, Europe, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely Reporting and Management of European performance to deliver European Regional targets / objectives. This will involve liaising with Group teams and ensuring European performance is fully understood with mitigation
Actions in place if required.
You will also deliver high quality European RBU’s (Rolling Business Updates) and LRP (Long Range Plan) in line with Group targets
Ensuring markets are organised to submit timely and in line with requirements – holding markets to account
Delivering / managing the LRP Process
Allocating targets (sales / investment / profit) to markets based on robust analysis / bench-marking
Ensuring high quality CEO/ CFO reviews allowing confident decision making / review
This role has high visibility and you will be expected to provide clarity to Executive CEO / CFO and investor relations in Quarterly Business Review presentations as well as delivering high quality business partnering / insight to Regional Finance VP, European EVP (Senior Executive Team (SET) member) and Commercial teams to drive European performance. To achieve this, you will need to lead your team in providing high quality analytics and insights for Commercial Team and Area Finance Directors.
To be successful, you will need to develop strong relationships with European CFOs and be comfortable to challenge / influence and provide clarity on performance / issues. This will also include driving the simplification agenda working with the CFO’s and Group / IFS / Finance Transformation
teams where necessary.
Using your leadership skills, you will manage and develop a high quality regional Finance team (multinational / mobile team) – currently 3 members, in supporting directly the 2 Regional Areas (Western & Southern Europe and Central & Eastern Europe).

You will be a Qualified finance professional operating at the senior level
Have experience of leading a finance team and working within a global organisation
Significant experience of senior finance management and control roles.
Experience of working in a global pharmaceutical organisation/ understanding of the drug development life cycle and/or commercial aspects
Rigorous and analytical thinking. Experience developing business cases and use of decision support tools and coaching others in their development and use
Ability to apply governance, risk and compliance components
Excellent commercial knowledge of the business area and local financial environment
Impact and Influence/Collaborative Partnering
Organisational Awareness – demonstrates knowledge of corporate business context
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including oral and written
Experience working across boundaries with Centres of Excellence, remote teams and 3rd party vendors.
