Synchrony Analyst - Acquisition Credit Implementation in Alpharetta, Georgia

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The role will provide the functional support on all Acquisition Credit and Fraud Strategy implementations activities. This is an idea opportunity for candidates who have project management experience with demonstrated execution, attention to detail, and ability to navigate Synchrony's data warehouses and systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Update Credit and fraud strategy tables in Acquisition platforms as per strategy specs.

  • Monitor strategy changes and updates, including Pre-release notifications of strategy updates to stakeholders and day zero validations post strategy implementation.

  • Provide testing support /activities as needed for strategy implementations, including UAT support for new and existing Synchrony portfolios and test scripts to utilize for various testing initiatives.

  • Attend credit bureau meetings and provide project support.

  • Work with fraud and credit strategy development resources to assist with the strategy submission process.

  • Work on ad hoc projects and provide analytic and reporting support as needed.

  • Retrieve and validate Adverse Action letters.

  • Facilitate weekly implementation meeting where credit/fraud strategy tickets are reviewed for accuracy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or Finance OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED plus successful completion of Internship program with Synchrony

  • 1 year coding experience with Acquisition Decision Engines, SAS Or Python

  • Successful completion of Internship program within Synchrony Credit and / Or Finance organization

  • 1 year experience / exposure to Project Management

Desired Characteristics:

  • Good oral/written communication skills

  • Experience in working with Acquisition platforms, processes or FISERV systems.

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and resolution skills

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated execution skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and willingness to learn.

Grade/Level: 08

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
